Back from the other life

March 2009 Life hit my (Manya’s) family quite hard, which I shared to some extent with our subscriber group. I experienced a lot of positive reactions, many very nice people tried to convey comfort. And I’m very thankful for their words and the things and thoughts they gave me. As a consequence of these personal circumstances, we stayed away from SL for months and logged in only from time to time for customer support and to answer some IMs. The situation is not better than some months ago, but in June we decided to try a gentle comeback.

The results of our new work have meanwhile been published in two messages to the group. I’ll collect those two release packs here in one blog entry:

Shamrocks. But not only.

In the meantime since our last blog entry we had two release notes to our group.

The NCI shamrock hunt celebrating St. Patrick’s Day started! We are one of the 42 shops, which participate and we placed a little shamrock out in our shop, too. You’ll find two boxes in it. One for the male and one for the female avatar. A little earring and necklace set for the Ladies and a celtic cross necklace for the Gentlemen.

The St. Patrick’s Day also left it’s footsteps in our Lucky Chairs.

Oops! 2009 already?!

And not only 2009, no, nearly March now. That shows clearly, it’s a long time ago, that we posted our shop’s updates here. We had a lot of personal “involvement”, and so we didn’t find the time and energy to create or comment something.

Now that this time of suffering is over, we made the whole update trip through the shop’s categories. I.e. we updated the FDC board, the Lucky chairs, had two big releases AND remodeled the shop a little bit. I guess it is this “new Year, new luck” feeling. Or the rise of the spring.

One of the consequences of our rebuilding is a little longer way between the FDC board and the Lucky Chairs. But we won some place and prims for the first and so we can keep more of the products available. (Only the Seasonal Freebies will rotate and have to retire after a certain time span.)

Yesterday was again time for another “global” update. We released some new jewelry items, updated the Freebie-Dollarbie-Cheapie-Board (FDC Board) and the Lucky Chairs, had an announcement and sent out a groupgift. Now for the details:

Releases

Four new jewelry sets now decorate the walls. “Rising sun” is LOW ARC jewelry with a pair of earrings and a matching choker. Gold, silver or bronze metal combined with tiny colorful beads. The choker is resizable per touch script. It has a little touch of native american jewelry. The whole set is not only low arc, it is low price as well and you can choose from a lot of colors.

The Expo, Halloween, and a Cliffhanger.

On the last day of the Jewelry Expo we put out some little things for shop and group. There was our Steampunk seahorse, one of the huge amounts of ideas for the aquatic themed Expo, which did not make it into the booth. So putting it out was a kind of closure of this whole experience, at least for this year. The second thing was a bracelet, that I “invented” when I was very young in SL and experimenting, what makes jewelry in Secondlife glistening and look like made of diamonds and crystals and so on. The “Fence” bracelet, which has its name from the architecture of the used prims, did a very subtle glistening – at least in my client – and so it seemed worth to not get lost in or deleted from my inventory. And god, a LOT got lost since then.

Long entry – Jewelry Exposition 2008.

Last year, when we were fresh and quite newborn in SL, the fate blew us to the first SL Jewelry Exposition and we were amazed and stand there with avatar eyes wide open and could not believe, that something like this was possible. Now only one year later, we are exhibitors at the second SL Jewelry Exposition. Isn’t this fantastic?

Before the big-big-release entry for the Second Life Jewelry Expo will overwhelm you, here a little addendum from the time BEFORE. Ante Expositionem, so to speak.

We released a retro inspired set of necklace, earrings and bracelet. The ‘0h’-Set. We have to mention, that the “0″ is not a big “o”, but a Zero. OMG, are we cool….*cough*

This time we have only a short note for you.  

We expanded the Freebie/Dollarbie/Cheapie(=FDC)-Board with only one Freebie this time, but three cheapies. The ‘Janet-Hoops’ are two pairs of huge hoop earrings of different hugeness. Maybe these are more for the crazy people like me . For the cooler and more glamorous Ladies there is the ‘FashVortex’ earring set on our Board.

As most of you probably know, there is an upcoming jewelry expo in SL (this year from the 5th – 11th of October). We participate and therefore invested some time in “research and developement”. This means for instance, we began to use Wings3d. One of the results is our new link, which is two links. Or should I say “our two new links, which are one”…. However. Look for yourself:

Wild things.

This month’s release is a set of bracelets with earrings of the wild sort: Our set ‘Africa’. The items come in the flavours (Nomnom…): Zebra, Tiger, Cheetah and Giraffe. Take a look:
