If you visited the Blackmount sim recently, you must have noticed that “thing” in the center of the sim, a huge “build” with ugly walls, many ban lines and not very difficult to recognice tendency for big prims. Several ways into our parcel are blocked, other shops have been surrounded by them, making it hard or even impossible to walk in or our their shops. However, we have no plans to give up or to get bought out, you can still visit the shop and fly around as usual…
We have a fashion model!
Posted in Second Life®, Tools on May 4, 2008 by primalotThe selection process was tough as our requirements were hard to meet, only one survived the contest. But first, here are the rules, the contestants had to comply to:
- No payment. Wearing and presenting our stuff is fun, why would anyone want to get paid for it?
- Talking, moving, breathing, everything that may ruin the presentation: forbidden!
- The minimum time in the shop per day: 24 hours. Yes, it is a full commitment.
Did I say that our requirements are hard? In our opinion, it is a pleasure and a privilege to get hired for the job and get the permission to wear the official title: “PRIMALOT Model”. Read more »

Posted in Experiments, Second Life® on May 2, 2008 by primalotThe term “temp-rezzing” may not be familiar to everyone, so we made a small visual introduction without much technical lingo. This manual

Geometry in three styles…
Posted in Second Life® on April 29, 2008 by primalotYesterday, we released a family of geometric necklaces, earrings and wrist watches. Design and color have been adjusted so that three styles of necklaces and earrings – called “Geom” – can be combined with the corresponding wrist watches called “Dotty”. The design uses neither textures nor bling scripts, just prims, color and the shininess provided by editor. Read more »
Say hello to TR.
Posted in Experiments, Second Life® on April 29, 2008 by primalotWe used to represent our jewelry and clocks on vedor textures, but that is only a 2D impression of what is designed to work and to interact in a 3D (virtual) world. So we designed, implemented and installed a TempRezzer in the shop and can now offer to get an easy and realistic impression what the products are and how they look in-world. Read more »
Proper Usage.
Posted in Second Life® on April 22, 2008 by primalotAccording to the comments in this blog entry (see 3rd section of the text), we added a "®" to our blog tag or categories. The comment also says: “But it’s important that the blog name be more prominent than the byline.” The name Second Life® does not appear in our blog title and tag/category names are usually very small text tags beneath or aside the text (in our blog template) so that we believe to be compliant with the new trademark policy.
More about bugs…
Posted in Second Life®, Tiny Things on April 21, 2008 by primalotToday, we participated in one of Random Calliope’s butterfly hunts on Ode and although we tried our best to slaugther as many butterflies as possible, we only managed to capture one piece of Random’s fine jewelry.
Do we hate butterflies? No, absolutely NOT! To prove that, we released a tiny fun attachment today to express our appreciation for these litte creatures – PRIMALOT’s Tiny Butterfly: Read more »
